The AP Bio Student

Yes, that would be me, the AP Bio student.
As of right now I am a senior in high school... yay!! I hate to be cliche, but the time really did fly by. It is still hard for me to believe that this is actually my last year here, and on the same note that there actually is a world outside of high school.
When I am not stressing about school, which is very little, I spend most of my time with my family and friends. I only have one younger brother, but a huge extended family. I LOVE hanging out with my friends, even if it is only a bonfire where we all just sit in a circle and talk. I do love my friends and family, but I also love my time alone. If you know me you know that I am a reader and writer all the way. Curling up on my front porch when it is raining outside with a notebook and a pencil in hand sounds like the perfect day to me. Throughout the school day I am constantly thinking about my writing and how to make it better. I love the days when I come up with the "perfect sentence" to add to my most recent writing project. When I am not writing, I am reading. My favorite piece of furniture in my room? My book shelf on wheels. Some days I just roll it onto the front porch with me to read all day. And in case you are wondering, yes I spend a lot of time on my front porch. Nature is where I find most of my inspiration from, and I prefer natural light opposed to artificial light... A weird quirk I know.
Anyways, back to the main point of this blog AP Biology. Why would I choose to take a challenging class my senior year? Isn't your senior year saposed to be a fun filled joyride? Well, I was looking for the challenge. Let's just say, the challenge hit me in the face and I was not prepared. I am hoping to go into the medical field as my career, so I thought that AP Biology would be a great class to take to prepare myself for the science classes that I will be taking in college. I am realizing that this class calls for me to change my procrastinating ways, and really get down to business. What I hope most to get out of this course is a confidence that I will be prepared for my college courses. I don't want to walk into the next chapter of my life completely unprepared, and scared.
For now
Yours truly,
The AP Bio Student

  7. Well written - its obvious that writing is a passion. I'm interested on what type of books you prefer to read? I truly believe that this class will certainly help you feel better prepared for next year.
